Cerakote is a ceramic coating that is commonly used on firearms. It can also be applied to wood, polymers, metals, and plastics. Cerakote is designed to last the lifetime of the firearm.

Cerakote is available in hundreds of colors. It is moderately flexible, offers wear protection and chemical resistance, and has a corrosion resistance similar to clay pots. Cerakote is not as susceptible to scratches and wear as other finishes are. This makes it much easier to clean and maintain over time.

Cerakote requires many hours of prep, spray, and cure time before the firearm can be used. It is a permanent application that cannot be reversed so easily. Cerakote doesn't recommend installing at home.
